Been Using it for a year now. Bought it last year. We had a cooler in the room before the AC came. Now the electricity bill is lower with AC. We run the AC for 20hrs a day. Still no issue till now. It has no noise at all. Turbo and Blow mode available. This is not a all weather AC so don't expect it to heat too in winter. I bought it from a local dealer, its all copper. Remote has a temperature sensor too if you want to cool your room automatically. Happy to use it.
I bought this from Electronics multi-brand shop and not from Amazon, but here is my review as Amazon offers a good platform for potential buyers. Its been 2 weeks now that I am using this AC. Blue Star has been awesome in service with guys turning up for installation the very next day the AC was delivered. So am happy with that. Coming to the AC itself, its a cooling only model and consumption is a bit higher @ 1100 watts compared to competition but being inverter type, it should modulate and that's why I didn't bother much about it. Also it features all copper condenser unit and blue fins for protection against corrosion. Now this topic is contentious, copper vs aluminium/alloy for condenser. The main logic is repairs to copper condenser is easy and relatively inexpensive whereas alloy/aluminium condenser unit cannot be repaired and has to be entirely replaced. Samsung & LG offer 5 year warranty on their alloy condensers, with LG offering gas charging free too. But turns out nothing happens for those 5 years and the AC konks off on day 1 after 5 years, isn't it? You probably won't replace an AC for next 10 years so its safe to go for copper condenser.
Looks: Its a typical all white unit and has LED in right most corner. Now I have mostly seen white LEDs on most ACs but this has multi colored indicators, like temperature shows in orange colour, mode of operation in blue etc. You can turn off the led indicators if the light bothers you at night. The outdoor unit is compact, well built and with excellent finish.
Modes and Filters: There are standard modes of operation and a gamut of filters which claim to save you from all viruses and bacteria. So this is as good as it gets. Haven't seen an AC, even in higher price range, exceed the filters this has.
Cooling : Before going to cooling, let me tell you the most amazing part of this AC... It is ultra super duper silent... and trust me when I say that at full fan speed and full blown cooling, you won't hear this AC standing right next to it. Hell my ceiling fans at 1 speed makes more noise than the AC. Even at night when its totally silent, you will just hear very faint sound (not noise) of air rushing out. Keep the fan speed on auto and that is solved too. The outdoor unit too...super silent. It features acoustic jacket for the compressor and only way you will know that the compressor is ON, is by touching the unit and feeling the muted vibrations. Hats off to Blue Star team for concentrating on this crucial aspect of AC. It really makes your experience much more delightful. The cooling of AC is excellent as expected from Blue Star. It has a turbo mode where it operates at full power for 30 mins to cool down the room fast and it works well.
Consumption: Its too early for me say anything on electricity consumption but looking at how well engineered this AC is, I think consumption too will be low. Typically I keep the AC @ 24 or 25C, which is comfortable range for me. I will post an update when I get the first bill :)
