It's been almost 10 days since I bought this laptop and till now it has been working perfectly without any hiccups. I am a avid gamer, so I obviously benchmarked and ran all high end games on it at max settings. Let's go with the pros first Pros: 1)Undoubtedly the best graphics a lap can provide in this budget with a 9th gen i7 processor, its a beast. 2)I benchmarked both the Gpu and cpu and it shows that this lap comes in the 90 to 100 percentile in performance. 3)Cooling is great even while running games for very long time, there isn't even much sound made by the fans. 4)Battery life is as expected of a gaming laptop, didn't notice any other problems 5)RGB Keyboard is great, great customization etc 6)Windows is installed on the 256GB SSD, so bootup and loading is very fast. 7)Games like pubg at ultra settings in 1080p gave around 130fps,csgo at max settings gave around 250 to 300fps,bfv gives around 110fps. Basically it will run every high end game on the market now seamlessly. 8) Laptop is light weight comparing to gaming laptop these days. Weighs only around 2.2kg.
Cons 1) Webcam quality isn't that great but okayish 2) There are some bloat wares already pre installed, you can either remove them or install windows again. I personally suggest just to uninstall the softwares u don't need. 3) Speakers are okay, it's not bad nor is it very awesome. It's loud enough tho. For music listeners, obviously using headphones is better or for gaming ofcourse.
So, in all I would suggest everyone to go for this laptop within this budget.
I bought this laptop yesterday through a retailer for slightly cheaper and I have been using it ever since and testing it out. I'm not much of a gamer but I like to play games while my priority is to work on 2D/3D softwares. So far I've only come across a few things . I'm completely new to Windows 10 and have always used MacOS or Win7 so keep that in mind.
Pros: 1. The laptop performance is incredible with it's RTX 2060 and 9th Gen i7. 2. MSI softwares come in handy when optimizing. 3. Heating wasn't an issue at all even while playing GTA V on ultra settings. 4. Boot time is a few seconds thanks to the SSD. 5. Steelseries keyboard lighting is bright and good and the key travel is satisfying with not much typing noise. 6. Screen refresh rate is 120Hz which you can tell with just the moment of your cursor across the screen. 7. Trackpad comes with two keys that are very responsive. 8. The colour reproduction of the screen is very accurate and bright. 9. The laptop is very lightweight considering the hardware and fans it has. 10. Headphone output is highly improved thanks to the multiple pre installed audio enhancing softwares. 11. The laptop is VR ready. 12. The laptop has 4 way ventilation. 13. Smudge/fingerprint free texture. 14. For the gamers: can run pretty much every game on high to ultra settings at an amazing frame rate.
Cons: 1. First major con I found was the unresponsiveness of trackpad, it doesn't even recognize slow or light movement of finger even at the most sensitive settings. Precise movement of cursor through trackpad is impossible. 2. The built quality can be questioned due to the material that is used in the chassis. The screen bends if you pull or push from a corner. 3. The screen despite being IPS level doesn't have good viewing angles but is pretty good from the front. 4. Speaker positioning and sound isn't clear or loud. 5. Internal components are over exposed due to the wide grills at the bottom of the laptop. 6. Can easily move on a plain surface since the rubber pads on the bottom are very few and the laptop is majorly supported by the legs protruding from the plastic chassis itself and it even lifts off from the surface if you're trying to recline the screen further away which is probably due to it's lightweight. 7. RAM provided is less considering the price of the machine. 8. The font on the keys is annoying if you type while looking at the keyboard. 9. No thunderbolt port. 10. Styling is old and isn't too good for a professional environment. 11. Lots of bloatware that will initially suck up your internet and make the computer slow.
I haven't faced any other issues and will be updating my review soon. This is pretty amazing laptop for this price. I'm just a bit let down by the material choice and the physical stability of the laptop on a surface but I think that's a price I'll have to pay for the lightweightness of the machine. I totally recommend it if you can get it under 145k. Registering the product on MSI website gives additional 3 month warranty (excluding CPU and GPU) and you can redeem a few free softwares and AAA games. I will try to upload benchmark scores for this laptop soon.
