What can be worse than nearly losing your life, than almost drowning at sea? Shalini Boland's The Girl from the Sea shows us exactly what - finding yourself washed out on a beach with no memories of anything. Twisty, gripping & dark, this book sure is unputdownable. I've read The Secret Mother by Boland before and was floored away by her storytelling. This book too hits that mark, nearly. I really liked the story, the characters, the works. The plot is very engaging, fresh. And while it got predictable towards the end, I was really impressed with the descriptive picturization of the locations and the character's fascination with rowing. I definitely look forward to reading more from Shalini Boland.
