To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

Mr. Robot is a modern day super hero story where socially inept Elliot Anderson (Rami Malek) uses his supreme computer programming and hacking skills at night to start a cyber- revolution. He ends up working with a secret group called FSociety led by Mr. Robot, a mysterious anarchist, to take forward a cause he deeply believes in.
I thought that F Society’s plan to ‘save the world from becoming economic slaves’ was really cool and it made me wonder about its viability and applicability in real life. That is the thing about this show. It makes people think. It does not open the eyes of the audience to new realities of our world but reminds them of their unconscious and monotonous way of living.
The story starts of a bit slow but I learnt pretty early in my life to not judge a tv show from its first episode. And that is a good thing because as the story progresses, the plot (especially the last 4 episodes) becomes more intriguing, twisted, interesting and complex.
Elliot was epic. Hats off to Rami Malek for pulling off such a complex character and showcasing all the traits of Elliot’s personality, be it his depression, confusion, helplessness, sarcasm or addictions, to perfection. He owned the show, even in the scenes in which he wasn’t present.
Other characters that stayed with me even after the season ended were Elliot’s psychologist Krista and his boss Gideon, mainly because I loved how genuine and nice they were.
I would highly recommend this show to all those who like tv shows with substance. I would also recommend this show to fans of super hero franchises. There are loads of parallels between a typical Marvel/ DC story and Mr. Robot.
I am slightly scared of what will happen in the next season because things were left at a complicated and confusing stage in the season 1 finale. I hope we get answers and most importantly, I hope Elliot ends up saving at least himself, if not the world(though that wouldn’t be bad either).
It took a while for the quirks of this show to begin to make sense. There's something about the way it's filmed and the central character's quirks to make sense. Elliot Alderson is an ethical hacker. He hacks people's lives to uncover their immoralities. We open with him revealing the online proclivities of an unassuming man in a coffee shop. He works for the web security firm that supply cover for E Corp, in Elliot's view they're called Evil Corp. Elliot is a morphine addict, so you're never sure if what he's seeing is genuine or caused by his habits. The world is well built, but then what we see and hear begins to unpick it at the edges. Is our narrator reliable? Is what we see and hear true? You know what? I enjoyed the ride more than the bigger budget Black Hat movie. There's a late series reveal that is appealing and jars the viewer. Who can we trust? Elliot effectively asks his therapist as he throws her life into turmoil. Yes, who?
Not bad, but weird at times and somewhat negative. Having said that the story is good and we are interested in watching the second series. It is a bit of a copy of fight club so it did not have a totally original feel to me. Some episodes do seem to go off beam for quite a while (the weird) and most of the main characters are rather unpleasant (the negative). Otherwise the main story line is interesting and exciting with David facing up to Goliath so to speak. Worth a watch I will say
Watched this series on Amazon Prime and was hooked after the first episode. I watched 5 episodes back to back in fact as it's so good. The strength of the writing, the characters and the acting is all top notch. Quite simply the best TV series I've seen in years. I cannot recommend it highly enough and the fact the second series has been picked up by a mainstream network is of no surprise.
I won't say anything about the plot as it'll spoil the enjoyment. Simply get it if you've any interest in our modern world and how we live in our social media infested world.
Spoiler Alert ! Make sure you keep watching after the credits roll on Episode 10 as there's one final scene which will no doubt be relevant when Season 2 arrives. Overall I was intrigued by the whole premise of the show and hope the standard will be replicated in future episodes. Agree that it makes a pleasant change to see new faces in lead roles.
The video and audio presentation of the show is excellent. Mr Robot has never looked better. Wished there was more to the special features but with a show as good as this, you can overlook the small things.
Working my way slowly through the series enjoying it very much I like the central character ,the story is great the acting is very very good. A great Show more people should get a chance to watch. Looking forward to Man in High Castle when it come out. Great television.
