Top critical review
My personal experience with 50inch Kodak.
24 May 2019
I'll give a overall revie since I had the television for a week.
The picture quality is good for hd and 4k videos, no doubt but none of the apps available support 4k.
The TV supports 4k but the operating system does not so you will have to get an alternative such as fire stick 4k.
The sound is decent.
The main minus point is the operating system it does not show the TV on wifi for casting and other options such as YouTube TV.
None of the apps support the up to date content.
I also faced lot of app updation issues.
The remote control given is depressing you cannot use smart controls and none of the other apps support this TV.
Netflix cannot be navigated well for episodes etc. You cannot select the episode u want to see.
YouTube does not support 4k and cannot be updated.
Value for money is good considering it's a 50inch 4k TV but since u cannot use the TV to it's potential the whole value for money part does not make sense since you would have to get a alternative source for it's support. 4k setup box or whatever.
If you don't mind a bad operating system and just want a big screen that can support 4k and have plans to purchase a 4k fire stick etc go for it.
But in the future if any problem arises don't expect any help from the company in terms of warranty claim or anything.
