The Perfect Fake has a fast-paced narrative, amazingly well-done characters, and lines that will make you smile at their brilliance. The characters are endearing and real. That is the thing, in fact, that I like most about Aarti's writing. Her characters are grey. They aren't the ideal ones; they are the ones whose flaws and imperfections are as celebrated and acknowledged as the good in them.
A fun, effortless read with enough angst to keep you glued to the pages until you're done with the book. While I liked the heroine, I loved the hero more. He had me firmly in his camp cheering him on. I'm a fan of the romance genre amongst others and Aarti's writing keeps me coming back for more in that space.
