Women Are From Mars is a new series from Ruchi Singh and I picked it from Kindle Unlimited as soon as I saw it. I am a fan of her writing since we were bloggers. Now, of course, she has a large repertoire of books to her credit.
I had absolutely loved the romance Jugnu and Take2, both had characters who had not had been handed the best deals in life. Ruchi has a knack for taking shades of grey and making the reader fall in love with them—she has managed the same in Temptations as well.
This is the story of Juhi and Satya who meet in Melbourne and have an instant connect. Totally enamoured they spend an idyllic time together. The twist in the tale comes when Satya is left high and dry. He searches for Juhi frantically and tries to find as much as he can. What he uncovers leaves him even more confused.
Finally, he does manage to find Juhi but does he actually find her? Ruchi has built up the plot so subtly that I did not realise it till twist was on me. Juhi is the perfect woman of today, stylish, successful, and she knows her mind. Satya is smitten and how! Their love story is hot and fast but when the idyllic time finishes the reality is revealed.
Good, fast read that is a totally fresh take on the millennium women. I look forward to next in the series.
I have read (and loved) everything by the author - her romances, the romantic thrillers - everything! So picking this one up was a foregone conclusion (for me anyway). As soon as I saw the author's name on the cover (even before I actually read the blurb) I added it to my Kindle. And I am glad I did.
Because even though it was VERY different from anything else I have read by the author, it was still a very interesting, intriguing read that kept me turning pages to find out where this story was headed. Also this was a really short read, only took me about 30 mins or so to get through it.
Which is why, I'd recommend this book if you are looking for a short and quick (yet gripping) read which is a relatively unique take (at-least in this format) on the current generation of women.
This was a completely different concept yet not so extra-ordinary. A lot of incidents are occurring near us and the author has chosen the bold topic to describe in her words. This is a commendable job while the people actually affected are unfortunate to come across such personalities from Mars. A brave endeavor indeed. Kudos.
