Wide variations in the multiple readings at the same time!
10 June 2018
EDITED: Strips show a wide variation in readings.... e.g. First reading was 248, I got suspicious, so I retested with one more strip and got the reading 201!!! THEN ON GOOGLE I CAME TO KNOW, GLUCOMETER AND STRIPS CAN BE WRONG 40 POINTS PLUS OR MINUS!
Now i test with 2-3 strips every single time and strips ALWAYS give variation of 20-50 points....
So somehow I have lost the interest in the glucometer altogether!
Some say Accucheck is better, but it is wayy costly!
There is no substitute of BS measurement like lab test.
Now I do not check BS regularly 2-3 times a day.... i keep diet in check, do a lot of exercise and only when I feel something is wrong I check.
Afterall A1C results are most reliable than any glucometer.
BOTTOMLINE: Dont rely 100% on Glucometer, when in doubt test multiple times, with different hands different fingers pricked.....
Why they keep changing the strip code I dont know!
the second time I purchased 100 strips, it was priced at 999/- which made me buy them. But now I realized the sticker is different, package is different (box is not sealed from both sides so strips are genuine or not cant confirm!!) and the Code is different! Its A08 Now! Previous order was A09! The ones I received with the glucometer were A10!
I think cheaper the price on Amazon the code of the strip is different!
The strips I received with the new machine were having a code A10/30, and these ones have code no. A09/30. I dunno what is the difference of calibration between the two, but I couldnt find A10/30 strips on Amazon. (Strip code is important as they are calibrated for different levels of accuracy).
Anyway, 1124/- for 100 strips is a costly buy! :(
