Captivating

Sounds impossible but still an interesting read for those who loves science fiction adventures. Keeps one captivated throughout the story. It's like seeing it while reading it. Great imagination and description of everything by the author. Would love to read some of the other books by Jules Verne as well.

Imaginative and yet realistic

To even conceptualize something like this during the time Jules Verne wrote this book was something to be really proud of and one must acknowledge such imagination and creativity. However, Jules Verne didn't leave much to imagination when it came to detailing.
It could have been something totally out of the park with the kind of imagination the author has, but the author kept that imagination to the concept and when it came to detailing, he has done justice to reality. One may not get swayed away with things which seem unrealistic or not pragmatic in approach or actions. That care is taken by the author which makes this a gem of a book.

Must read if you love adventure

Great book! I don't read books that often and this is probably my first one since my last book in 2017. And I'm glad I broke the hiatus with this book because it was a pleasure to read. The story is really intriguing and will get you hooked.

amazing. this book is more than 150 years old. though it is fiction author wrote very imaginatively. the translator of this book also have a good command on language, there are lot of terminology which relates to geology, so you need a dictionary with you when you read.
the movie journey into center of the earth is based on this book, everything said in this book is made into that movie.

It was a pure joy to read this wonderful story of adventure, I felt entertained the whole way through.
I loved the characters, the writing style and the plot so incredibly much. I can't even explain why, I just had a good feeling every time I picked up this book.

Its 0.25 times Jerome K Jerome type book. Mostly for teens. Grown ups might not like it that much.
I am still giving it four stars as it is a great book for teens.

Since it was my first science fiction.I was very excited while reading this marvellous piece of writing and completed in just 3 days.
I recommend this book to all science enthusiasts.

Interesting story

It's really a great experience to read a book written in 1800's , although content is fictitious the creativity of the author has to be applauded, worth reading.
