Just got it delivered. First impressions are great, it just surprised the way tall it is, easily 6 foot. Its written "Digitek DTR 500", i was a bit doubtful if it will be an original product as i have not heard or found about such a product in other websites. Compared to DTR 495, i couldn't find major differences in appearance, only thing i feel it missing the extra piece of rod supplied to increase height of the center column. Apart from comparisons, its sturdy, well enough for a semi pro camera, and even the last leg extension is pretty durable giving it a good grip and preventing wobbling. I was so confused while ordering this than the DTR 495 which seems 500 rs costlier, but believe they are identical.
Just received the tripod today. I never expected the tripod to be heavy as it is. Though the weight proves a durable material used and stability it would give, but carrying it for trips will be questioning.
Cons The clips for tilting its legs are kind of lose and tricky to adjust. I personally dont like the screw system locking of legs, i prefer clips which are quick to operate. The level indicator should also be on the collar area. The given indicator could be of no use if the tripod is in tilted arrangement. The Monopod arrangement could be of very little use because the actual Monopods still has some supporting mini legs at the foot which this doesn't have.
Pros The ball head is very smooth and steady, the knobs are also of very good quality. I have seen reviews of other imported tripods of similar features and weight ratios which are of more than double its price hence this is definitely the best choice among its competitors when price is compared to features, although their quality I am sure of because I have not yet used or even seen the imported one (manfrotto, vanguard, k&f concept, benro, etc), but considering their weight they must not have been made of carbon fibre, hence this one is very good to go with. It like the Oneplus6 vs the iPhone. If u have enough money, go with the imported one, especially I like vanguard Alta pro 2+.
Hi all Prices fluctuates so if u get a best offer you should buy this product .
It can be directly fitted on the tripod using release plate thread on tripod ..But see to it that the thread u have is big one , as the female thread you get is bigger than 1/4 inch so do buy a thread convertor from Amazon . Other than that it works and u take smooth videos using this mount ... Don't expect high fluid movement u get from high brand product but as per the price it does it works.. Material used good quality plastic material with metal usage ...grip is really good and for my purpose it worked fine and happy with it.
It keeps growing taller and taller as if it drank some magic potion. It keeps shrinking smaller and smaller like you see in the movies. It can do a flat stretch on its legs. It can move its head in all directions. It can leap forward. It can bend backward. It can look from high above and it can also look from down below. It can turn around in a circle. Or it can stand firm in a position. It can separate and it can again conjoin. It can fill a room. And it fits in a bag that comes with it. Get this Acrobat!
Well the product is light, however you may experece a belly leaked near the horizontal revolving knob. No clue whether this leads cracky experience if this material is used as lubricant. Otherwise nice product for beginner. I use Nikon d 7200 with Nikon 200 500 mm telephoto zoom
overall good... however for DSLR more weight should be there in a tripod to with stand ground while operating it with DSLR mounted over it. You have to be careful when it is fully extended with DSLR mounted. feels like it will drop on any side with small push as the weight on the top (DSLR with lens) creates a bit of worry for the user.
Great tripod for everyone looking for casual photography hobby pursuit within low budget. Bag provided is good for carrying the tripod. Wind stability is ok for moderate windy situation. I am using this with a nikon d7200 with 35mm and 400 mm lens and its handling it fine.
One of the best in class tripod which can be converted into a monopod. Gives you immense functionality in any situation, decent enough height, little bit heavier but comes with sturdiness . Disappointed I with the delivery experience, tripod cover bag was damaged had a small hole in it... Otherwise a good product to have under the budget of 2k
I could have a few of these. Can be used for a variety of purposes like mounting reflectors, additional lighting etc. Not limited only to mounting camera or mobile phone. There is weight limit though that we should be mindful of.
