I'm 25, never read a Potter book and want to read them because of the hype. (I'm a huge movie fan but then books are fascinating too) So when I finally decided to grab a Harry Potter book, I wanted to have the best edition. I'm so glad I picked the illustrated version. Words cannot describe the beauty of this book. I'm awestruck with absolutely every inch of it. I love the cover, the illustrations and the vivid burst of colours. The paper quality is amazing. And I'm sure I'll love the "story" as well. I won't be exaggerating if I said it was difficult to believe that this book is available for such low price. Out of all the amazing books I have ever owned, this one is my favourite. (I'm not letting anyone touch it, it's so beautiful)
Awesome book best ever book i have ever seen in such printing and design. Original Quality printed edition of BLOOMBURY which i got from seller named "Book Selection Centre" Best seller i seen on Amazon.
Please note do not buy from seller named "Inetrade India" they are giving fake, ultra low quality books and wrong books. I suffered for a month because of them.
Get ready for a magical journey with J.K Rowling and Jim Kay. This book is a celebration of this fantastic series which has made its mark worldwide. The beautiful illustrations by Jim Kay add another layer to one's imagination of the Potter world. I felt like I was reading HP for the first time and could enjoy it again with the same enthusiasm I had as a 14 year old. Why should you get the book? The illustrations are rich and numerous, even the pages with no illustrations are not completely blank. For a first time reader, this book will enhance the HP experience tenfold. For a HP fanatic, this is a piece of art that needs to be on your shelf along with the other books to be passed on to future generations.
The illustrated works are released once a year by Bloomsbury around early october. I will like to collect all seven of the illustrated works as they are a joy to be had. Should you spend money if you already own the set? Absolutely YES! It's worth it.
Being a Potterhead ever since I was introduced to this world of magic, unpacking this book was an absolute delight. The book was delivered on time and in an excellent condition. There's only one word to describe the book: "magical" and Jim Kay is a true wizard with his brush. The illustrations are vivid and mesmerizing. Rereading the book I keep staring at the pictures for hours (ok that's an exaggeration) like a little kid. I wish I had this as a kid. If I was nitpicking, I'd just have one complaint. The back corners are slightly bent which is understandable due to transport. Thank you so much Amazon... but please don't deliver such precious hardbound books in soft packages.
Wonderfully illustrated volume. If you are a Harry Potter fan, and if you have space to collect books, this is a must buy for you. A collector's edition, indeed.
Such productions inspire us to buy physical books. Kindle books are good for simple texts. I buy Kindle books in self-help and thriller genres.
Invention of photography changed the course of paintings. Similarly, the mass production of Kindle books will alter the way physical books are made. If publishers want people to buy physical books, they must up their game. The way this wonderful work has.
The volume is heavy. Yes. One has to put it on a table to leaf through it. I love it, anyway.
I have read this for the second time post watching the movie. I remember purchasing it when it was a rage and trust me it took me days to finish the book as I didn't understand what was going on, I couldn't remember the name of the characters but you can't leave a book mid way. It is blasphemy as long as it doesn't get on your nerves. I did enjoy reading it this time post watching the movie as I knew what was going on and sometimes it feels good when you can give a face to a character. Someone like Dumbledore who's always so calm and composed also my favourite Ms McConell. I have been told that it would get interesting post the 4th book. I haven't read many series apart from 3 and let's see if I reach there. I hope I finish this one. Must read for kids. I did enjoy reading it but being grown up has its own perils as with books like these, you can't really expect a letter from Hogwarts and you know that you would end up living as a muggle for the rest of your life. What a shame 😫😫
It's a beautiful illustrated editions of the Harry Potter books. If you love Harry Potter, I totally recommend buying this and reading it while savoring the images with it. It would make the perfect gift for young readers. Totally recommend buying.
This book is gorgeous from cover to cover - I could not be happier with my purchase! This is a beautifully and masterfully illustrated book. The dust-jacket itself is absolutely breathtaking. Every page is illustrated or adorned with ink blots and textured effects. It's so great. Be aware, however, that books in this new illustrated series are quite substantial in size and weight, with pages so wide that column format is used for the text. I imagine that later books in the series will rival encyclopedias. Prepare your bookshelf accordingly. I cannot wait for the rest of the illustrated series to come out to begin a new collection!
No one needs to know how well written the HP series is, the fans know it all. The illustrations are beautiful. Paper quality is excellent. The book really plunges you into the realm of the wizards. For someone who already owns 2 HP sets , the sheer timelessness of this book keeps me coming back for more. Enjoyed buying and reading this memorable book again, especially at an amazing price of Rs. 800 !!! Eagerly waiting for the next.
This book is very nice. The quality is very superb and I love the illustrations inside. The book is large and heavy and gives the feeling of an ancient story book when you look at it and start reading, which I love.
For every HP fan out there, this is perfect for your collection! Don't think too much, just buy it!
