There is absolutely no question that this is a very good Uke. Really pleasing sound. Please do not compare it to Tenor or Baritones. If you are a beginner, go to justinguitar.com and learn how to use it, like I did. Tuning is very easy. If you have a bit of music experience, you do not need a digi tuner. Stays in tune for a couple of days, if you leave it like that. But it is recommended to loosen the strings a bit when you are done for the day. This is better for the nylon strings durability.
I have been using Juarez ukulele for 1 month. No music background. Wanted to learn string instrument and decided to buy this one (after extensive research). The sound produced is good, the packaging was perfect and delivered in good condition. Though if you are planning to gift it to someone, I won't recommend doing so, as sometimes the product delivered is partially broken [read as minute manufacturing/delivery flaw/error] (check minute details when you recieve it, another review on amazon clearly dictates the steps to ensure product is genuine). Rest assured you will be happy with the product. I got a more-than-average bag (no pick, and guess what, pick is not used to play soprano/concert ukulele, so no issue). Final advice: Buy it if you are a beginner (after you attain expertise level which takes time, you can move on to another ukulele. But no sense in buying 4000+ ukulele for first time). And remember, it's a fun thing to do (don't get frustated or too serious in initial days, take breaks while learning).
This is a very good uke for beginners. Build quality and finish is good. I tuned it myself using ukulele tuner mobile app.
I had tried learning guitar a decade back by joining classes, but gave up because it was too hard. Uke is much lighter to handle. It's still hard on the fingers, but I've learnt a few tunes n chord changes on my on. It's been a few months, but I'm still sticking with it.
Cons: it's fairly difficult to find classes for uke. Guitar is more versatile. Uke has a sweet banjo like sound, when compared to the mature metallic sound of guitar.
Well i was very scared when i saw some people getting broken pieces thinking my one would be broken too. But no, things turned out like i wanted and got this perfect "concert" sized ukulele (not soprano) with 0 problems, scratches and any bad thing. Yes you have to tune it when you take it out and it will get out of tune as its new, don't think thats a defect. It will get used to this chill, strings are nylon. Easy for the fingers, wont hurt like steel strings tbh. Easy to play chords and once tuned, sounds so beautiful. Just go for it guys, you wont regret and yes the nylon strings are superb don't worry its aquila. Quality of wood and finishing are just wow. It feels so premium in hand, go for it. Cheers.
Pros This ukulele has perfect strings and is awesome for beginners! If you take out some time you can tune and learn a few chords in just an hour Really very very very pretty I must say. Especially the design on the main body. Even a pick is not really needed that is also provided. Cons The only con I could find was that on some places on the uke and the bad there was some fungus. But it can be cleaned easily!
Summing it up I would say it is a great but at this price! I got it for 1894. Also please note that it is a "concert" and not a "soprano" ukulele. Even though I received a perfect product I advise you to read another review which is around the top which mentions all the places you should check for cracks and damages! Overall I think it deserves a 4.5 that too just because of I'll maintainance that I mentioned earlier. I would say go for it definitely!!
It's and absolute favorite piece for beginners. My kid (7yrs) is really happy as it's easy to use and practice. We were looking for a musical instrument to suit his age for a long time. It's the best we could ask for. Lookwise it's as shown in picture. Quality is good. Sound quality is good but nylon strings are not up to the mark. They're low quality.
