Not bad for this price.....well made...but definitely need additional work on string action ,frets levelling and needs better strings. After fixes" Now it sounds like professional elite series.
I'm a beginner just like most people opting for an ukulele but I had gone through alot of ukuleles before buying this. As you can see from the fingerboard to the base of the uku this product is damaged. Do check for all the places I have shown on the ukulele when purchasing anywhere as this should cover all the flaws there can be in the instrument. Btw there was broken pieces of wood inside the sound hole too but I couldn't get a clearer image to show.
Earlier I had given this product 1 star and for the obvious reasons but I got easy replacement and my new ukulele is just superb. I'm changing my review but keeping the pics uploaded so others can check for flaws which may be present. Good luck and peace to all
I've always yearned for a guitar , every single time someone strums and sings , my heart does leaps of longing , having no clue about any instrument I almost gave up hope . Then came this sudden interest for the ukulele , being small and lesser number of strings I was confident I could manage added to the fact that it was so affordable , still apprehensive I placed the order. 2 months later I can confidently say I can play 8 songs and sing along , it's the most liberating feeling ever and such a massive stress buster. Youtube tutorials were my guiding light , and this particular uke will not disappoint , it serves the purpose for a beginner can be easily tuned and gives a hawaian feel , the strings are the perfect material , does not hurt too much nor is it too feeble . So pleased and a 100%worth it . Strum away 🎶🎶
Pros- Size is just perfect i.e.,23" (earlier I had a 21" uke and a tenor too, former was pretty small, though it was perfect for people with small hands and skinny fingers and the latter was quite big for at least someone as tiny as myself) Strings are better than the last uke I owned( though I am not an expert but I can still tell you that the strings are quite good, you can tell it by the looks of it) Body of the uke is beautiful( I loved it as soon as I opened the box or maybe not right after I opened the box because the condition of the gig bag had a pretty bad impression at the beginning, will cover that story in the cons) Finishing is also good ,however, not as good as the kala makala products but at this price I would have surely given it a go ( if I was the one reading this review :P) Sounds pretty decent I mean really decent. Picks (2 picks to be precise)were also included along with the gig bag so yeah that too is a plus point
Cons- Tuning problem( I guess this is a universal problem i.e., new ukuleles going out of tune way too quickly than one can imagine) I was just done with the A string and by the time I had reached G string, A was already out of tune. This happened in the beginning and has happened with me when I had bought the other uke too and it just goes away with time so shouldn't be a big problem. (P.S. be a little patient and don't consider returning it out of intolerance) The gig bag( i might be the only one with this weird problem) it had small white patches literally everywhere, which generally appears after cloth had stayed damp for a long while and had been packed for way too long so really i am not sure why the bag was in such a condition. REGARDING THE PRICE : I , before ordering it, tried to search for its price in the given reviews but couldn't really find (m)any so I was very ardent that I'll surely put price in the review. I got it for 1990 and a day before i ordered it, the price had dropped to 1890 and I tried placing the order but there was some glitch which didn't let me-_-
That would be all for this review. HAPPY SHOPPING!!!
Everything is just perfect. Quality is the best you will ever find for a price this low. The wood is of good quality, the tuning knobs and their mechanisms are strong, fine and accurate. It sounds great. It just doesn't come pre-tuned, but no big deal. There was a very tiny little area where the wood was chipped, but is was too little to care, so meh. Also, I got only 1 pick instead of the 2 picks that the seller advertised, and the carrying case is of very very low quality (-1 star). The product itself is AMAZING. If you're having second thoughts, just order it, this is the BEST you'll get for this cheap. I live near 2 music stores and they're selling this same thing for 2,500Rps., not a single Rupee less.
I'm writing this review after using this product for a month. After having played acoustic guitar for past 4-5 years I could make out the following positives and negatives of this Ukulele, as follows:
Positives:- Good sound. Good body frame. Good strings. Affordable. Lightweight and portable. Comes with cover and 2 picks. Eye catching Color and body design.
Negatives:- Lacks proper body finishing at fret board. Third string( C string) needs to be tuned everyday before playing.
If you are a beginner and planning to buy a Ukulele, go for this product.
I have been playing this ukulele for more than 6 months now, so this makes me the eligible person to review it in depth. I never knew how to play a ukulele. I had to try my hands on something, and not spend much money. I bought this thing on a deal for 1670 INR. It's very obvious that you just can't get a sound instrument at this price. So even if it has some drawbacks, I just can't complain. It has been the perfect companion for learning the game. First thing, don't panic if it gets out-of-tune frequently. It happens for 3-4 days in every new ukulele. It has got a little stiff strings as compared to other ukuleles. The voice is slightly deeper and volume is lower, as compared to a soprano 21" of other brand. Very rough and tough. I always travel with it to the mountains and other places. You can hear it in open areas. It's not really a rosewood ukulele. It's plywood. Make sure than the fretboard is smooth, otherwise return it. I didn't, because I wasn't aware back then. (Look at the image). But i'm still 100% satisfied with my purchase.
The one is got in the first order was a low quality product.. I asked for replacement .. The second uke that i got is an awesome one. I loved it .. It is the best we can get in this price range.
Test your instrument well before you use.. The fretboard was uneven and out of pitch(for the first one delivered)
