The first thought which came to my mind after reading this book was it’s similarity to the KJO movies. This book is all about the big, rich and very loud Punjabi family with a beautiful love story.
Rashi and Arjun belong to totally different backgrounds but somehow from the first moment they met, they seem to share a Chemistry. The sparks fly whenever they are in same place. This book is all about happy go lucky kind and though this was the author’s first book, its actually a sequel to author’s second book “Man of her Match”. It starts where the second book ends.
The book is thoroughly entertaining, with some really spunky characters and a fresh and breezy romance. There were several moments which, literally, made me laugh out loud and most of those moments were of Naani. I loved Arjun’s maternal grandmother a.k.a Naani the most. She is witty and don’t mind speaking her mind aloud. She even changed Risha’s name to Candy (because Risha is the candid photographer in the wedding).
Like a KJO movie, this book has everything- comedy, romance, drama and friendship.
This book is def not a 5 star rater. If you like cheap and light reading these this one is for you. It seems this book is written so that some film maker notices and offers to make it into a movie. I love readying romcom but this one is def a typical Indian author fantasy. Read it at your own risk. Its average and predictable. I never read Indian romcom tough my fav authors are Nicholas Sparks and Nora Roberts. This one is a light ready, no brainer and def doesn't give you the feel good factor in the end that you feel after reading romcoms. Good Luck..!!!
