Fine, this is a tribute to Agatha Christie and in more ways than one, even the Atticus Pund mystery is a bit like one (can't say too much more here, otherwise it might give it away).
The story was so-so, but I found the blurb misleading: without any spoilers, I thought that Conway knew something ('hidden in the manuscript' etc) and left a trail, which is not the case.
However, the motivation for the murder (which Susan Ryeland solves), seems dubious as best, going by what happened in other similar instances; and frankly, the whole issue of the manuscript (and thereby the story itself) seems contrived and unnecessary: like a Greek tragedy.
