Kevin did a brilliant job in taking us though future and making us comfortable as being in present. His set of example are well known but better understood when he narrates it. I liked his division of chapters. You can pick up any chapter and dive in. I want to read this book again to identify few more undercurrents of his thought process.

Brilliant !!

Kevin is amazing in his articulation of assessing the current, explaining the shift and talking about the possibilities.

AI, VR, IoT, and others.
What have been happening on the net and why?
What will happen next?

It’s good to see some logics explaining what are being carried out by people.
People here includes Google, Facebook, and ordinary ones.

It also explains how smart people had failed to foresee what would happen before it actually happens.

AI is no longer for state of the art robots, it’s everywhere.
People are writing newspaper and books on Facebook in a sense.

I have less fear of having the future shown in the movie, Terminator, as I can see what are happening more clearly.

A fantastic, fun, serious, breathtaking treatise on the many possibilities ahead. Kevin Kelly writes with true passion for all things tech, bounded by his vast experience of having seen, researched and experienced technologies that are still in their infancy of impact. Arguably a book that should be read more than once, to digest it all.

The book gives the reader a peep into the future, helping him to visualize the world of tomorrow, and mentally being prepared to cope with it as it begins to unfold with every passing day.

The author has very logically envisioned a future of several disruptive innovations likely to be caused by technology. For those who are living in the present this book may be a science fiction but for the dreamers and the people who crave for a great future this book is a perfect guide.
