A perfect kitchen appliance
on 20 October 2017
I bought this product from another site in July 2017 and liked the product so much that bought it again from Amazon (out of stock from online market, only available on Amazon) to gift it. So my reviews are based on the more than 100 days of use.
This is a perfect electronic item to fry, grill and toast. Very compact and intelligently designed airfryer by lifelong.
Best in the range as I paid effectively 4050 only (selling price 4500 with 450 cashback). So far I cooked potato fries, oil-less samosa, groundnut (even with shells also), peanut cracker, Grilled veg sandwich, tandoori chicken, omelet, toasted the bread, tandoori gobhi, paneer tikka, bharwa bhindi, and baked chocolate cake and muffins also. Potato fries were not crispy but one can manage it by soaking in salt water for 20 mins before cooking it.
Recently, I have discovered that we can also prepare litti chokha (famous cuisine from UP and Bihar) in this airfryer also and one can prepare Baingan bharta in it. The best part of preparing litti chokha in it that one can ensure that litti is not burning and the final outcome is ash-free, as not in the case of conventional litti chokha on cow dung. Roasting raw potato, tomato, and Bringle in it was really amazing and unexpected.
Another one is the fried groundnut and grams. Soak the soaked and grams (any other lintels) for overnight and airfryer without oil for a good breakfast.
Although I have never tried but I feel one can prepare quality Uttapa/Uttapam in this airfryer using an aluminum wrap foil on its base (or use a aluminum pot ). Just put a foil in the basket, put few drops of oil using oil brush, preheat for 2-3 mins. Now pour the uttapam paste and spread the onion/tomato/Mirchi and set the temperature and timer (Will revise review in the case I try). I tried the same method for preparing omelet and found a good omelet with few drops of oil.
All dishes were perfectly made by airfryer within 10-20 mins with not more than one teaspoon oil.
One thing that I realized that baking a good quality cake is not possible in it as the forced hot air burns the top surface of cake/muffins paste, otherwise, it bakes very well.
can't upload more than 20 photos as per amazon policy otherwise I would have been sharing much more pics.
After this much use, I can say it's a must buy for those people who love fried/grilled food with less oil.
Best parts of this airfryer are :
Timer ranging 0-30 mins at 1 min grade, Temperature ranges up to 200 C at 10 C interval; 2.6 L basket is enough to cook food for 6-8 ppl; Every food was evenly cooked which is really not possible on any gas stove/grill/tandoor; Easy to clean the Non-stick basket; Basket is really easy to take out & put in back (came to know that many other brand's product has some problem with design); Very Little sound (almost no sound); No smoke at all. The another best part is that it has an alarm which gives a sound once settimer is done, which lets you do other jobs while your food is getting cooked.
This product comes with 2 yr replacement warranty and if you register the product on lifelongindiaonline portal (uploading invoice and snapshot of product review), you get 2.5 yr replacement warranty. Interacted with customer care many times in last 3 months, found it quite supportive. This product is best in its class and even far better than costlier airfryers of other popular brands.
Precautions: Don't put anything in the basket which can fly if forced air passes over it. Never rotate your timer knob in anti-clock wise direction, it may break. Even timer is running, you just switch off the main plug switch, in the case you want to see check whether food is cooked or not. Switch on the power and set the timer again as per your need.
PS: Many ppl will feel initially that prepared food is not up to mark, but it takes time to get a experience with time and temperature required for a particular dish. Pls visit youtube for more airfryer dishes.
Thanks Amazon for delivering within 2 days in Mumbai.
