First of all regarding the sellers: It is available through Deals Amazing and Tecki-Home. I initially purchased through Deals Amazing and they failed on their promise of delivering it. So I had to get the order cancelled after waiting for almost a week. Then I ordered through Tecki-Home and they very promptly delivered it couple of days before ETD.
Now moving onto Camera: This camera is a real bargain at this price point(~55K). If you want to spend this much then there are only two options available currently, OM-D E-M10 II and Sony A6000 twin lens. There are subtle differences between what Olympus gives with this and what you get from Sony. Olympus has Micro Four Thirds sensor compared to Sony’s APS-C. Micro Four Thirds sensors are little smaller than APS-C and it may show up in low light performance and portrait quality. But Olympus provides 5-axis image stabilization which compensates for low light performance. Olympus has better build quality than Sony’s A6000.
In the box, I got Camera Body + 14-42 lens + 40-150 lens + Front and back Caps for both the lenses + Battery with Charger (US) + Neck Strap + 8GB SDCard
There are tons of menu options and optimizations available for the way you want to use this camera. Twin dials are great addition as they provide quick access to settings and you don’t need to struggle to open menu to make changes. It captures 16 MP images, and not 20 MP as specified on the details page. But there is nothing to be disappointed as it doesn’t make much difference. Its image stabilization is really superb. I could capture handheld photos at ½ second shutter speed easily.
Plenty of reviews are available online on DPReview or other websites.
amazing product weightless and sparkling pictures. A must buy for those with travelling plans.Great for wildlife and birding. the Lens are also very good. The auto system works well so also the manual mode.
Awesome camera. Olympus is one of my favorite brands and having owned 4 OLYs at different stages of my life, this one was not a disappointment. Excellent image Quality. The interface can be daunting for a fresher to the Oly system, but with diligence and effort, one should get the hang of the menus quickly..
Added the 45mm 1.8 which is the sharpest of the 3 lenses.
Ordered a holding bracket (quite scary that it can slip out of the hand so easily, after being used to bulky DSLRs.
A screen guard is a must. The original one peeps off in a day.
Enjoying the camera. Small is the new BIG.
View the pictures to know the size of the camera and lenses. Very small but very GOOD !!!! SAME as the other small mirrorless like Sony's a7 series, Fuji's X series and others...
I hoped to get the black version but got silver instead but it doesnt make a whole lot of difference. Camera is very well built. Pancake lens is of good quality. 40-150mm is made of plastic. Great travel camera for daily usage, best for street photography. Night shots come out to be good, thanks to the image stabilization. Controls are nice and easy, ISO range is acceptable, great ergonomics.
