This is as pathetic as it gets. I recently got this product for my parents who stay in India. We did a test run immediately after it got delivered and it printed fine the first time. Fast forward to two weeks later, the product stops working. The service folks who checked the products complained that the items were defective. It stops printing completely and Im stuck with a dead product 2 weeks after I purchased the item. Wish i could return this item.
1st ever printer that I ever bought. Using from past 2 months. Pro: Looks good (good exterior colours) Plastic body so light weight. Easy to set up(just have to install the CD provided) Less wires, two cords(power and usb) Got two cartridge(1 black, 1 colour) Till now printed atleast 70-75 pages. (30 colour, 45 bw) 35-40% bw cartridge remaining. 30% colour cartridge remaining. So good for regular usage at home. Hassle free. Good print quality. Both for normal photos and letters.
Can’t scan pages above A4 size. If you go for high quality scan i.e increase ppi then it takes lot of time.
Gets dusty easily since white in colour. You will have to get a cover for it.
Nice printer...very convenient fr home use...but the cartridges end up quickly...I guess that's bcoz its a trial pack of cartridges...the next time I buy original HP cartridges, they ll last long, I guess...!!!!
Its a good printer in this range. I print average 3 pages of black and white, can't say anything about how much pages it will print by given cartridge still working on 15 day usage . And it's costing me about ₹2 each page according to cartridge price and J K copier price. If you want to reduce printing cost use Ario or other brand pages.
The printer is good. No installation guide is included. Though its easy. if you are buying thinking that you would be able to refill your cartridge, take a second look. The refill didn't work for me and had to buy the expensive original cartridge. So its a misleading information (not by HP officially but through proxies so that the sale picks up) being floated that its economical because of refillable cartridge. HP is blocking the cartridge on detecting a refill. Now thats not fair I think. Having paid for a product, I have the full right to do whatever I feel like to my equipment. the company can't (should not) coerce me to buy their cartridge. Thats bad marketing & lack of understanding of Indian family consumer and hence the company will be doomed soon.
Its better to buy reasonably priced Laser printers (RICOH, Brother etc - unfortunately my Mac wasn't compatible with RICOH SP111, else I would not have made the mistake of opting for HP.
