Half the cost/ beautiful portraits in crop sensor camera (*85mm)
5 August 2018
Canon's 50mm little bit sharper I guess. BUT who cares sharpness can be added in post productions and this lens costs you half the canon price. This is beast for it's price. If you have enough knowledge of manual mode you could capture beautiful soft portraits with this lens *(if using in apsc crop sensor).
And people who are suggesting that it's autofocus is poor and very slow must know that in 1.8 aperture everything is pretty shallow and due to the deep d.o.p. It struggles. But that happens to every lens in 1.8 or below aperture and that's why It is suggested to use manual focus in most cases.
Performance of this lens is more than expected.
And you'll not be disappointed if you bought this as compare to if you bought canon 50mm you could regret if you ever stumble upon this lens with same specs and quality glasses for half of it's price.
