Health Book cum marketing brochure

Ok so I have not had any experience about a book which impressed and disappointed me simultaneously.
The initial chapter of the book chapter 1 is good and kind of makes your understanding about the body better. And also gives you scientific answers "why I am not loosing weight" question. However Chapter 2 onwards which is on strength training I guess the book becomes a brochure about gym and gym equipment and how you won't achieve anything without them. The cardio chapter 3 also makes the same point. I am yet to read the other chapters however I have lost most of my interest due to the heavy marketing of gym.
