Never go for this - Review after 8 months of use
Reviewed in India on 23 September 2018
Eureka Forbes Vacuum cleaner is being used at my home for last 30 years. I had bought this one to use it upstairs. It can be described as just a Chinese one branded in their name. Such a flimsy structure. The motor of supposed 1200w delivers a quarter of its power only. This one is just 8 months old and is DEAD now. I have booked a service and as usual there is no response from anyone.
You can know the company's attitude from certain things.
● They don't disclose their service center's location or phone. The only access is their customer-care which is a premium charged number. Whenever you call the customer-care, you get the so-called parroting message. They don't want anyone to contact them. Any other company, you can take the product to their service centre at your convenient time and pick it up back the same. Here, you have to wait for the technician any time any day for 1 or 2 months.
● There are three stages of escalation. Believe me, the third stage is a "Eureka Forbes Ombudsman". But none of the web forms work. In this new age, they require the customers to download, print and fill-up the form and send it by ordinary post. See the attitude.
● They always confuse you using the words direct channel, indirect, franchisee, agent, sub-agent, etc. One guy would come and sell you some product or AMC with proper invoice and another guy would tell you that it is not the correct route and would deny service.
● They deleted my comment on their facebook page detailing my complaint. Just read the comments on their Facebook and Twitter pages, and you'll know.
Eureka Forbes had a point years back when it was a monopoly in the market. I know, in my childhood, the executive would give a demo as if it had rocket science inside. The picture is changed. There are quality products with much advanced features at quite low prices. Never go for any Eureka Forbes product. Never expect any service from them.
