I bought the book for 700 rupees, really worth the money. This book has pages more than other DC comics I've bought. Thanks to the seller BUYBOOKSINDIA for the offered price. It's a must have one for Batman fans, one of the thickest DC comics with good art work and a descent content. It contains 12 chapters,It's worth reading
This book has always been highly rated and once you start to flip through its pages, it's not difficult to see why. Comics are a visual medium and the book immediately catches your eye with the gorgeous artwork of Jim Lee. The modern digital colors lend a glossy feel to the whole work and the thrilling story by Loeb keeps you hooked. Rarely does a story on superheroes have such a combination of great art, great story and immaculate presentation.
This is a great edition which features a beautiful full page sketch by Lee at the start of each chapter and a few pages of promo artwork at the end of the book.
As for the story, Batman finds his close friends as well as himself suddenly being targeted by his old enemies. He senses that someone is behind the scenes, orchestrating the whole "game". Things become more complicated as he finds himself falling for the Catwoman. As each lead turns out to be a loose end, Batman must use all his wits, strength and help from his allies to make sure the unknown adversary doesn't finish him first. But when his friends also seem to be manipulated, who can the Bat really trust?
Final verdict: The artwork alone is worth the price of admission!
It will get you hooked- revealing sides and stories of Batman in a new way. The constant struggles in BM's mind is depicted thoroughly and we feel closer to the character than ever. Really nicely done- Catwoman, Talia al Ghul...and others. The twists and turns are epic. Really refreshing and radical comic book.
Art by Jim Lee that will have you smitten at first sight. Action sequences are so lively that it's better than watching an action movie. The girls are the prettiest one'll ever see. Story by Jeph Loeb (of Long Halloween fame). Story moves at a fast pace. But this books is about the journey, and the answer you recieve at the end is 'Who?'. For 'Why?' , one will have to read Heart of Hush (though this book stands tall on its own)
I recommend it to every batman fan must read it guys, the one of the best comic I every read in my entire life. Graphics of this comic is amazing, paper quality is also fine but I can't stop myself commenting on the price of the comic, Amazon is very unpredictable about the pricing but I got this book @ 711 rupees sometine amazon make your day but the MRP is 1499. I get a get deal on this product... 😎😎😎
Brilliant book with so many villains to keep you hooked right till the end with twists that are so fascinating. Joker, Clayface, Killer Croc, Riddler, Scarecrow, Hush and Two Face are all in this comic. Glorious read and would highly recommend it to Batman fans.
An awesome work by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee. U have to agree that Loeb & Lee connection is undoubtedly the best ever. The story moves at a good pace. Once you start reading the book u want to finish the whole. Tremendous story line involving poison ivy, joker, riddler, 2face/harvey, croc, clayface etc and transitioned really well in the story.
Will hands down be one of the best Batman Comics you will ever read. The plot is slowly built and by the end of it you really are at the edge or your seat wondering and trying to connect all the dots. It's a definite MUST Read!!
First regarding the pricing of graphic nandovels. The prices fluctuate a LOT of every novel . I have seen them go from 399 to ~900 on a single book in a month. I bought this for 550 but this is now listed at around 1000!
The novel is good. The art is crisp and clean. Rather than lurking in shadows the novel seems the novel seems to take place in brightly lit nigtime in GOTHAM. LOTS of action and detective work. And one the most gorgeous renditions of CATWOMAN ever picturised.
