It connected to me at the right time, but moreover it's a book that how things goes up and down for what you wish, even when it is your destiny and even when god has ordered it himself, still path is not as expected, it's filled with so many unpredictable circumstances, and your own personality, but ultimately u do reach by winning and quitting, by fighting and giving up
You cannot go wrong with any of Paulo's books. Pick up any book you want, and you'd love it. And The Fifth Mountain is no exception.
If you haven't read Paulo before, I'd suggest you start with The Alchemist. I had read it 8 years ago. And back then getting english books was difficult where I live, so I read ebooks. I have read most of his book, and I don't regret it. In fact, even though I have read (he ebooks, I actually bought physical copies of them recently only because I really loved them and he deserves to get the credit.
THIS BOOK REVIEW IS ONLY BASED ON MY FEELINGS DURING READING THE BOOK. IT DOES NOT INTENT TO HURT ANYONE’S FEELINGS, AND DOES NOT MEANT TO COMPARE WITH ANY OTHER REVIEWER’S FEELINGS. “
Yes it was the first feeling that came to my mind when I first finished the book. This brilliant narrative takes us to the path of a simple person, who eventually becomes to be called as a prophet, first becomes a victim of the circumstances & after realization, fought back to conquer his destiny.
The author portrayed here the plot as a historical narrative, based on some ancient cities of Lebanon, & with passage of time taught us some much valuable life lessons.
Though sometimes use of the Old style of English Language may create problems for the readers but one has to remember that it actually a translation from the original Portuguese writing. So if the originality was not maintained, the essence might have been lost.
The thing I liked most in this reading is it’s simplicity of the narrative, and some serious life lessons through a few words, what the author had given.
Anyone who is fond of spiritual writings, it is a must read.
Though it is kind of an offence to give rating for a creation from an author like Paulo Coelho, but from a reader’s perspective
The views expressed are solely based on my taste, may vary across people according to their reading taste. This my fourth purchase of Paulo Coelho books. Already have Alchemist, Manuscript of Accra and Pilgrimage. Very interesting and inspirational book which says a point or two in helping others.
