Felt very good, but the word usage is very complicated. I had to refer dictionary 'n' number of times to get those words. But for the content, yes its a great book. Provided you are good with words and their meanings. That irritates a lot. Or else a great read.
Another worth reading book by Julian Barnes. After "sense of an ending" and "Arthur & George" I have become a fan of his writing. Lemon Table is a collection of short stories that deal with growing old. They are filled with longing and nostalgia.
My favourites include the story on hairdressing, a story of an adulterous husband, "Bark" , etc. are good stories.
There was the odd story which really got nothing out of me but other reviewers on various webpages have liked them a lot.
So over-all it would be safe to say I recommend this book.
