I recommend it to all the mystery and suspense lovers

The book starts, where the millionaire Rufus Van Aldin buys the precious rubies, named as ‘Heart of Fire’ and he presented these rubies to his beloved daughter Ruth Kettering.
After some days, Poirot board, luxurious blue train, and Ruth also board the same train. On the other side, Katherine Grey is also traveling on the same train after getting a large inheritance. Ruth’s marriage life was going through with troubles and Ruth talked to Katherine. And the next day, Ruth is found brutally murdered.
The case becomes more complicated when there is no trace of the killer and the rubies; ‘Heart of Fire’ is missing.
Police started investigating the case and interrogated every person related to Ruth. Katherine didn’t even know her name and after some time says that she has seen Ruth’s husband Derek Kettering in the compartment and Ruth’s companion Ada Mason says she saw a man in Ruth’s compartment but not able to see his face.
In spite of police investigation, Rufus Van Aldin and his secretary asked Poirot to find the murderer of Ruth.
The police believe that Ruth’s lover Comte de la Roche is the perpetrator, however, a cigarette case found on the crime scene tells a different story.
Why Ruth is killed, for the precious rubies or the illegitimate affair?
There are many suspects; however, there is no concrete evidence to find the killer. Read the book, to know how Poirot solves the case.
Amazingly narrated, this book hooks the reader to the last. Characters are perfectly described by the authoress and the language is easy.
I enjoyed this book, the book is full of mystery and the way Poirot finds the killer is truly remarkable. I personally loved Katherine’s character and charm. This book has multiple sub-plots but the authoress has brilliantly merged them to create a nail-biting mystery. With the suspense, the mystery queen also depicts human nature and behavior which I liked a lot in her books.
This book is one of the best books by Agatha Christie, and I recommend it to all the mystery and suspense lovers.
