Mythology and Thriller are one of my favorite combinations to read. The title of the book is intriguing and the book is equally interesting. I loved reading it

The story is about a conspiracy which involved Ghost. Shocking right? The city of Ranchi was haunted by the ghost of Satyabhama, who was the right hand of the King of Palamu in the history. The ghost had killed 2 science professors till now and was on a loose to kill more people in order to protect the treasure of the king. The police wasn't able to hack the case and were constantly pressurized by the media and people of Ranchi. They roped in Robin who was the famous detective, in order to solve the case.

Robin was a genius and was always able to crack the hardest of cases but this case had no end. Eventually he started believing in the ghost stories but there was something more to it. Will Robin be able to crack the case? Will the ghost stop killing people?

I was intrigued by the turn of events after every chapter. The story is full of emotions, action, drama and science. I was really fascinated from the very first page of the book. The author's writing style is simple and will keep you hooked throughout. The character building is strong and the way the author describes the various scenes is commendable, I actually imagined all of it. The book is well paced and an enjoyable read.

I must say this is the best cover image of a novel that i have seen in recent times. Its even better than the cover of immortals of Meluha!(The books names sound similar too!).And the story is really mindblowing.Writing style is so good that one feels he is in the middle of the story standing with the characters of the book while reading.its a tightly paced thriller and you wouldn't want to miss even a single word.Somehow you connect with the characters. The character Satyabhama is beautifully constructed and one really feels for him.And the detective Robin Horo with his "sharper than laser" brain will make you fall for him.An amazing book that you cannot afford to miss!

The writing style of the author is very uncomplicated Also it's simple to understand. The chapters are small which is a good thing because they helped in smooth narration. Also a map was provided at the start of the book which really helped in imagining places. The story is thoroughly engrossing. Also I was successful to decipher the twists before Robin explaining them 😁. .
The cover is very attractive. It's a fast moving story I literally finished this book in one sitting. Also the characters are sooo amazingly written there is introduction of some new characters thorough out the book.
This book is a MUST read for all historical fiction or historical thriller lovers.

Review:

This book definitely possesses some supernatural power. It keeps you unmoved and hooked till you finish it. I'll try not to give any spoiler here. But if I do then sorry its not my fault this book is to be blamed for the same.

So the story starts with the ghost of Satyabhama haunting the Palamu fort and protecting something no one is aware of. But miles away from the fort a Professor named Anand was killed and rumors and the people who witnessed have a say that he was been killed by the ghost of Satyabhama. Inspector Patrick and detective Robin were all set to find the culprit but as the events took place inspector Patrick and others were convinced that the ghost behind the entire scenario. However, Robin wasn't satisfied with the reason. I found Robin as another Sherlock (just for the Palamu Fort mystery).

Could it be a conspiracy of the ghost or is Satyabhama actually behind the lives of the people?

§ The book is quite gripping and keeps you hooked up

§ The characters are well introduced and described

§ The cover and texture is as beautiful as the story

§ Writing style is simple and intelligible

it is a detective story with full of action, adventure, mystery, and humor. ⠀⠀
‌Detective Robin horo is the main character in the whole story. Author created a perfect detective in the form of horo.⠀⠀
‌so plot is something like a ghost is killing some processors due to a curse related with a hidden treasure. But what is tha main reason and secret behind all these incidents. Does they are really killed by a ghost or it is a panned murder. All these incident makes a perfect detective novel. ⠀⠀

My Take:

Some books just capture you. They have the power to keep you hooked till the last page and still leave you wanting for more. This is one such book. I literally had put everything on hold to finish this. Just couldn't put the book down. One of the best read in recent times and happy to hold a copy of my own.

The cover catches you first. A beautiful cover, a can't wait to read blurb and a water tight plot and superb execution, this has all the aspects covered. The mystery unveils slowly and you just keep getting pulled more.

The fort of Palamu lies in tatters in present day, a History Professor from St Xavier's college mysteriously dies and the witness has seen a ghost killing him. More killing happens and the ghost is on a loose. No one has any clue or explanation. In comes the Sherlock Homes kind Robin Horo who tries to decode the mysteries and help the police.

As the plot thickens, it traces back to 16th century, the King who is forced to hide treasure from falling in wrong hands and leaving a set if complex clues. What starts as a chase to nab the murderer / the ghost now has turned to a treasure hunt too. With the clues left behind will Robin be able to decode the biggest treasure hunt and will the ghost be unveiled? Read the book to find out.

The writing is brilliant and simple. The author has a way with words. As you read you feel like the scenes happening in front of you. The mystery is maintained well till the end. The book leaves you wanting for more. The humor is used brilliantly and cracks you up at the oddest moments. The characters are well developed. This is one roller coaster ride you won't want to miss, as it has action, drama, puzzles, bits of humor, mystery and suspense.

I would rate this 5/5. Expecting and waiting for more such stories from you.

Plotline:
Palamu, Jharkhand
Satyabhama was a 16-year-old orphan who lived along with his sister Meera. One night, he was visited by a traveller who was in need of some food. Satyabhama, without a second thought, gave the last of his food to the traveller. It turned out that the traveller was actually Raja Medini Ray, the king of the Chero Dynasty. Impressed by Satyabhama’s kindness, Raja Medini Ray offered him to be one of his personal guards.
Fast forward four years, the Maharaja had visited their military training facility in the forest where he was attacked by a tiger. He was saved by the two arrows shot at the tiger by Satyabhama who was then a seasoned warrior after 4 years of training. Raja Medini Raj had asked for Satyabhama’s support to protect the “Elixir of Doisa” from the greedy invaders. It was then hidden away at a secret place that only a few knew about. Satyabhama, upon his death, had then cursed the “Elixir of Doisa”.

Ranchi
The associate professor of the department of history of St. Xavier’s College, Mr.Anand Tigga was found dead. As per the statements given by the three eye witnesses, Mr.Anil, Mr.Enos Baa and Bheema, it is said that Mr.Anand was killed by a ghost who identified himself as Satyabhama and spoke about a curse.
The police department ropes in Robin Horo, a private detective to solve the murder mystery. The ghost of Satyabhama then kills Mr.Enos Baa and attacks Mr.Anil too, who survives because of Robin’s present mindedness.
Robin solves the clue that was left behind by Mr.Anand and comes across a box that contained 3 antique gold coins and a riddle. In order to solve the riddle and find the culprit, Robin sets out on a quest along with Neil, Babualji and Naseem bhai to gather more information about Satyabhama and the history of the Palamu Fort.

Is the ghost of Satyabhama really on a killing spree? What actually is the Elixir of Doisa? Will Robin succeed in solving the riddle and getting hold of the cuprit?

Writing style:
The writing style of the author is lucid and keeps the readers gripped. The book is fast paced and didn’t seem unnecessarily dragged.

Language:
The language employed is simple and easy to understand. There are no technical jargons used by the author.

Book cover:
The book cover initially gave me an illusion that the book is historical fiction but I am glad it wasn’t! Instead, it is a perfect blend of thriller, mythology and criminal suspense.

5.0 out of 5 starsSuspense, Thriller and Mystery. Perfect combination for a perfect book.

To begin with the cover is so awesome. It depicts the most critical part of the book so beautifully. The colour combination, fonts and overall view is just so attractive.
The story revolves around Detective Horo who is incharged to solve the murder mystery where the murderer is a ghost. A ghost who is protecting something more precious, something he lost his life for.
This story is definitely a page turner. The twists and the plots are just mind blowing. I loved how the author used his cards for the twists. The language is easy and the story line is quick to grasp. Smaller chapters makes one really curious to read what is stored for him ahead. From the first chapter itself the book is grasping and the twists leaves you shocked. The end was definitely unpredictable and this book is surely loveable.
This book is a combination of mystery, suspense, detective and history. So if you love books like Krishna Key, then this book is surely a must read.

Omkar Borhade
5.0 out of 5 starsAn awesome combination of mystery and history

First time when I looked at its cover, I thought it is a mythological book but as I turn the pages the book turns out to be totally different. It’s a detective story which is an awesome combination of suspense and historical fiction. The story begins with the death of a Professor. Eyewitnesses claim that he was murdered by a ghost. The book has all the elements which a good thriller book should have.
Robin Horo, the protagonist of this story is a detective with keen observational and deduction skills who firmly believes that “Nothing happens by coincidence”. I was awestruck by the solution of a three-century-old puzzle which Robin solves with his intelligent and sharp mind. The author has surely taken a lot of efforts in designing the puzzle and plotting storyline around it. Other characters of the story, Neil, Babulaji, Inspector Patrick and my favourite Naseem Bhai also have an important role and their unique traits are well suited for the story.
The entire story is related to Satyabhama, a member of Kings Guard who lived about 300 years ago. I personally like how the author has narrated his story in parallel with the current events. I was astonished by his skills and bravery when he single-handedly fought against the traitors. His death scene literally pulled tear out of my eyes.
While reading this book many questions pop up in mind,
Is the ghost of Satyabhama real?
Why is he haunting the house of professors?
Where will the riddle found in the house of Professor Anand lead them?
The book has engaged me every second and the story became more and more interesting as I moved further. The story is marvellous and narrating style of author has added sugar in the milk. Language of the book is simple and reader-friendly. Suspense added in the story keeps the reader involved until the end. I would recommend this book to all thriller and mystery lovers.
