Its very a fine well written history of the quantum machanics , anyone can read it , its all english, their is no math formulas or derrivation . But a very elegent material for quantum lovers. I would specially reccomend it to those who are just beginning to learn this subject.
Trying to understand, as a non-physicist, the theories of twentieth century physics is a challenging task, even after high school have provided an introduction to the terms and concepts. This book is not only readable but enjoyable. Right from the first word till the end, the author explains the story of the beginning of quantum mechanics to the recent developments. It is written in a simple and layman language. The book beautifully describes the tale of the conflicts between the two great minds of those days; Einstein and Niels Bohr. Encapsulated into this book is the almost complete story of the development of quantum mechanics. I recommend this book to all science lovers. Superb book!!!!!
Excellent reading. Walks us through the developments of Quantum Mechanics and also through the lives of the people who developed it. It is a much better way of understanding Q-mech. I wonder if such a book can be a supplement to the regular Q-mech text books.
Manjit Kumar... Great book. Beginning with history of each mile stone leading to quantum and scientist behind it. Not finished yet. But more than half finished. Strongly recommend. Anyone who is interested in quantum mechanics must go for it.
