A Darker View of the Other Side
8 September 2017
I had read Ms. Chakravarty's book "Spirits I have know" before reading this book and by force of habit was compelled to compare the two.
While both the books deal with the same subject of paranormal, zombies and evil spirits but I found the stories in this book to be slightly less scary/engrossing compared to "Spirits"
If Spirits was for Post graduate students then Sacred Evil is for high school kids.
Many of the stories are bizarre and difficult to believe while some which could have been finished in half a page or so have been stretched into 5 to 6 pages.
Ms. Chakravarty has excellent command over English language and her prose is engrossing, no wonder she was an English teacher once.
I firmly believe that there is a world beyond our own, a world we lesser mortals can't see, a world which requires a higher level of consciousness (and maybe something else) to perceive, feel, see and infer it.
I would definitely like to read the author's biography titled "Beloved Witch.
