'Could she be the 21st century version of Munshi Premchand?'
18 November 2017
Review of 'Those pricey thakur girls' '- The good and the bad in < 100 words.
Author- Anuja Chauhan
1. Anuja brings her characters to life. They look like someone you have met, talk like someone you have listened to and that's the rare streak I see only in a few authors.
2. The language with a liberal dash of Hindi livens up the reading experience. It reads like a story passed on to you by your grandmother while cracking up peanuts, ensconced in a shaneel ki razai.
3. The nostalgia of 80s along with watching Doordarshan and habit of sleeping on terrace is all so endearing.
1. Why don't you write a novel every six months Anuja?
MY SUGGESTION- Don't miss this novel at any cost. Especially if you have siblings and can't stop squabbling amongst yourselves.
