This book is really tough one. If you are wishing to get elementary treatment of the subject then it's not for you. Go buy Raisinghania or Shanti Swarup. This book is rather directed for applied mathematicians than physicists. Explanations are short and sometimes very incomplete where you yourself will have to fill up the gaps. But while doing so you will understand most of the topics and you will know why he left something incomplete. If you can do at least 50% of excercises then you can call yourself good hydromechanist. So buy it only if you want advance treatment of the subject and you already have at least few basic ideas about hydrodynamics.
