Everyone cannot become strategist like George but situations of public life teaches a lot

Well written book. I finished it in record two days by my standards. The author explains well, how women in general face discrimination in public life which is considered a male domain everywhere. Remember Hillary Clinton was defeated twice, once by Obama and the other time by Trump in her bid to become US president despite being highly capable and having Bill Clinton for guidance. I appreciate the authors work for craftsman and Dilli Haat which I came to know via this book only. People will know her side of Tahelka story which seems more convincing. She rightly suggests George should not have left Muzaffarpur in 1984. The circumstances under which George left JD is not well documented as George was unwelcome in Lalu's land, lost his bid to become party leader in Parliament to Sharad Yadav and he needed a formidable caste based support to win his own election which was provided by Nitish who even gave his own Nalanda constituency to George in 96,98 and 99 elections.
The author rightly says that everyone, especially women must participate in public life. Everyone cannot become strategist like George but situations of public life teaches a lot. I think the real reason why she was denied RS seat because Nitish was CM, George was fading fast and money/muscle power of King Mahindra swing the balance. She honestly accepts that someone needs to work as fail safe for a leader to succeed, and she worked as one for George. I wish the author a long and healthy life so that she can write one more book, may be biography of George.
