Anybody new to coding will see it's not as daunting as it appears on film, and who have already started, won't mind revisiting their knowledge and pick up easily from where they had left. Its language and purpose will pique your interest and hold it. No boring history lessons, only titbits and webcharts in between. Checklists summarise everything you've just read and you could redo a "mission" in no time, by skimming them. You'd in the first mission itself begin to understand and appreciate the relation among HTML, CSS, and JAVASCRIPT, and after the second, you'd be creating your own webpages and by the end of the book, even simple games and apps. Take your own time. This book does a lot better than many other high school books in inspiring the thrill of coding.
I work as a trainer for over 7 years and I have been on the look out for a beginners textbook.
This book is by far the best, and the most easiest book for beginners I have seen. As the book suggests, it is meant for 6 years and above but I have had great success with using this for 1st year and 2nd year engineering and non-engineering students.
Excellent book. Simple language. Good examples. Fantastic illustrations. Love this book. If you are teaching someone who is completely blank in terms of coding knowledge, you cannot get wrong with this book.
