A sherlockian deduction of disease pathology!
25 May 2015
Intriguing as well as interesting,Dr. Lisa Sanders takes a leap ahead where the journey of the fictional Dr. Gregory House ends. Those of us who have followed the American medical drama House M.D religiously will find this book fascinating. We are served numerous case-scenarios interspersed with the primordial teachings at our medical school about the importance of proper history-taking followed by a thorough physical exam.To note carefully each symptom the patient tells or be curious about any abnormal behavior of the patient. Not to eliminate any minor details before considering its implications. However modern technological advancements have almost eclipsed the importance of history-taking and a physical exam. Thus, this book is a burning reminder that once we falter to diagnose a case,we should get back to the roots donning our Sherlockian caps. It's elementary dear doctors!
