A natural history of (good/bad) economic ideas
26 April 2019
Informative book, packed with references to scholarly debates, memoirs of active participants, and policy documents. This is a book to pick up if you want to trace the narrative about economic growth in present-day India.
The writing is sharp, but due to the number of participants involved requires effort to disentangle various connections. Making it slightly hard to follow. However for the most part a very enjoyable, and extremely well researched book.
A must have if you are interested in policy, and politics. You can disagree with the author, but you will appreciate the story.
