I bought this Dictionary of Physics (Oxford Quick Reference) 7th Edition (released in 2015, June) as a gift to a Plus 2 student. This new edition covers about 200 more new scientific terms commonly used in the great world of Physics. The enthusiastic student quickly went through some terms in a day and told me “uncle, now I understand Physics much, much better” and “it is a great book”.
This book is very useful to anyone who really wanted to understand the basic concepts of physics and progress in real sense.
It is unfortunate that many (most) students just get things into their memory (‘mug-up’ without understanding what it is), then vomit at examinations, and then forget everything they “learned” in a few months. This dictionary would be very useful (a good companion) to such “trailing” students to improve their learning & understanding capacities.
Also I must appreciate the Amazon (& the professional courier) for good packing and very fast delivery just within 2 days from the date of dispatch by the seller.
