Pure Chance, Causality and Randomness
13 June 2017
A short book on a topic with profound implications on many aspects of our lives. The desire of humans to control their environments and conditions leads them to underestimate the role that randomness and chance plays in determining their fates. With examples ranging from stock markets to vodka testing, and concepts from genres as diverse as statistics and chaos theory, the reader will find it both illuminating as well as entertaining. I really wanted this book to delve into more detail and elaborate, but as such, it is a damn good read.
