I randomly discovered that my CPU ran at 90-100C during heavy load (always on the same task) for prolonged periods of time and I immediately knew what to do. I have used the stock Thermal Paste from my Corsair H100i-Elite LCD XT before and while taking it off, have seen some bad coverage. I ordered this thermal paste and applied it (pea size dot in the center, smaller dots around the corners and in between) and made sure to properly squish it with my pump. I had to take it off once again because I lost a screw and I saw a beautiful and smooth coverage without any holes. (Using too much paste is better than too little, so don't worry about the amount, check out some youtube comparisons on different amounts of paste).
And voila! No more crashes, Load stays at 50% maximum during the same heavy operations and temperature only rarely climbs above 75C.
Do yourself a favor and replace that stock Thermal Paste that comes with your pump (even though it has a pretty triangular pattern when you open the package).
Effectively improved my CPU temperature by 30-40 degrees Celsius and Reduced Load from 100% to 50% on same (demanding) tasks. Highly recommend, also for Intel. You don't need that plastic applicator to help anyway.

Sono una persona che si sente più sicura a cambiare la pasta termica almeno ogni anno, quindi alla fine dei conti ne uso molta più di altri di questa pasta termica e ne ho provate parecchie marche, quindi prendete la mia recensione come una opinione molto personale ma comunque imparziale.
Recensione Pro:
- Quantità di pasta sufficiente per varie applicazioni (circa sulle 8) nella CPU mentre nella GPU qualcosina meno (circa 5/6) anche se tendo ad essere più abbondante su GPU.
- Densità abbastanza elevata, ma con un trucchetto che uso io (guanto in lattice) si distende benissimo senza sforzo (sempre che non usiate la tecnica del chicco di riso)
- La migliore che ho provato come "potenza" dissipante se stesa in modo maniacale, ho notato un miglioramenti di 1/3° a differenza delle concorrenti (non le ho provate tutte sia chiaro)
Recensione Contro:
- La densità, mi è capitato di incorrere in tubetti che sono più densi e meno densi, anche se non ne risente in "potenza" dissipante, ma se si stende come faccio io a volte può essere non si stenda facilmente
- Il prezzo di questa pasta mi sembra alto rispetto la concorrenza, forse 1€ in meno e secondo la concorrenza non vende più
- Puoi fare tante applicazioni ma ci sono solo 3 straccetti per la pulizia all'interno... mi sembra più una trovata per farvele comprare; indubbiamente comodissime ma anche troppo costose...
Considerazioni finali:
A mio parere dopo varie prove con molte e molte paste termiche (anche quelle da 5€ con tubi enormi) c'è da dire che la differenza si vede e si paga allo stesso tempo forse un pochino troppo; tuttavia vista la sua capacità di trasferire il calore è davvero ottima forse ci sta.
Consiglio altamente questa pasta termica perché di meglio c'è solo il metallo liquido, che come ben sapete ha i suoi rischi, mentre questa proprio no!
PS. Se vi serve pulire bene il processore, non comprate le loro salviette, comprate alcool isopropilico che costa pochissimo e ne avrete per anni accoppiato ad un dischetto di cotone o meglio uno straccio vecchio.
Per la nuova build due anni fa ho scelto un NH-D15S chromax.black per il mio 5600X.. sicuramente impressionato dalla qualità dei materiali, dal packaging, dal post vendita.. tutto sommato anche dal prodotto (mai sopra i 70°) anche se è davvero enorme.
Poi però..
- per altre cose ho preso delle ventoline Noctua per il mio NAS Synology. Il NAS se le perdeva e le ho ancora imballate in casa. Inutili;
- ho scelto altri dissipatori (Hyper 212 di Cooler Master) per un R3 3100 e un FX 8370 (125W e difficile da gestire termicamente). Ho speso per due dissipatori meno di quanto costava il mio singlo Noctua e adesso che uno ha sotto il 5600X con pasta Arctic MX4.. va sinceramente meglio il Cooler Master;
- sono passato al 5800X3D e senza undevolting il NH-D15S non ce la fa a tenerlo sotto i 90° in Cinebench r23/r24. Montare una seconda ventola non posso, non ci sta, ma anche fosse forse prendo 1-2° al massimo anche se il case è grande e arioso.
- cambiare pasta termica? Ok, proviamo. Passo da Noctua NH-T1 a NH-T2 e non cambia nulla.
Ecco, che dire, sono sfigato forse. Ma a me non è che mi ha fatto questa grande imprsessione Noctua. Mi aspettavo più sostanza sinceramente. Del packaging, ecc.. vabbeh alla fine chissene.
Passerò ad un AiO a liquido, userò la NH-T2 e venderò il resto. Va bene così.
