I would recommend this to anyone who is on a budget for a home recording studio. I've been using it for a little over a month now and the features it has built in are amazing and very touch sensitive. Pitch bender, phase control, or build it and map it to control as you please! Very well thought out design and will fit on any workstation.
Cannot wait to see what they come up with next! midiplus AKM320 midiplus MIDI Keyboard Controller
Having never had anything to do with a midi device before, I wasn't sure what to expect. In the end, although Ableton had no problem at all recognizing and using the keyborad, the free version of PreSonus Studio One simply refused to even recognize it. And I tried it on both a laptop and a desktop. Well, to be exact, this isn't completely correct, as I first tried it out on my laptop, and after considerable messing around got Studio One to "see" the device, briefly, and it actually generated some sounds. But the next time I ran Studio One on that machine, and although it still recognized the presence of the device, it would not respond to it. I then tried this out on my desktop, but nothing I did could get Studio One to admit the device was plugged in (even though Windows did). After this I tried Ableton on my desktop, and it recognized and worked with the keyboard immediately. I'm pretty sure the fault lies with Studio One, not the keyboard.
Not being an accomplished midi artist, I have to say that I don't know if this keyboard will meet the needs of an advanced user, but for me it works fine -- and has features I am only now starting to discover. It meets all my needs, so five stars is appropriate.
After a week of use I can say its definitely not the best midi keyboard, it doesn't have all the features that the expensive models have, even the basic features don't always work but for its price I still must say I'm happy I bought it.
