Initially I thought this might be a duplicate product as this a new model and was not sure if go pro released this in new added colour. Moreover this price is less than the older models. Also there were very few reviews on this.

But as there is a return option, I ordered it and found it is a genuine product. I tested this by inserting in my go pro hero 7 black, it charged well and working fine.

I was little bit skeptical when i ordered but when i inserted battery in hero 5 black it didn't switch on, Left for charging still same it wasn't coming alive.
There was an update pending for my hero 5 post update it is working as expected.
Almost same time i am getting for original and this battery.
If you are buying this for Hero 5 black, update the software first with original battery and then insert it.
5/5 overall.

This Gopro battery is specially designed for HERO 6,7 & 8 Black and does not work with HERO 5 or 2018 model.Keep this in mind.I ordered for my Hero 5 as the other model was not available then and this was the newer model that was looking exactly same in design but it was not charging after inserting on my Gopro and it got hanged.So I removed it and returned the item.
