A brilliant and insightful book.

I have never written a book review before inspite of being a voracious reader. But after reading this memoir I felt that it's very important for me to write a review just so that more people get inspired to read this very important book. From the first page itself you are sucked into shaheens world which I have to say is not an easy place to be, but no matter how Inc it makes you it won't allow you to detach yourself nd you would keep on wanting to know more, feel more. Shaheen has written in one of the places that the greatest problem with understanding depression for a person who has never experienced it is that it's not possible to describe it in words. No words can do justice to describe this debilitating disease. It is one of the main reasons ppl don't understand or empathize with a depressed person. What they see is just the tip of the iceberg. I want to laud Shaheen on describe this illness in the most honest nd accurate way possible. With this memoir she has not only done a favour to all the people battling depression to understand it better but also given a chance to the friend nd family to have a true insight into what their loved ones are actually going through nd how they can make it better.Thankyou Shaheen you have helped me to understand my sister better nd I hope you keep on spreading your light through writing.
