Not exactly worth the wait or purchase. But that's my opinion.

Disappointing end to the trilogy. I expected better from Square Enix. Nothing exceptionally new in game play except a few new exploration items. Feels like they just wanted to finish the game. Total game play isn't particularly long. More time is spent on exploration.
In terms of story it's the same old Lara Croft fighting against time to save the world from bad guys. But seriously, being a millionaire heiress one would expect her to use her resources and buy some equipment. All she ever does carry is that climbing axe. And ofc being the bad guys, they just show up about everywhere on the map. Though the character development for her has been nice. But I wanted a longer game.
For game play, SE focused more on the environment and the setting rather than the actual story (that's what I feel like). There's settings for individual difficulties for puzzle, game play, and combat. Taking place against the Mayan backdrop there is focus on interaction with the people rather than solo exploration. Fast travel gets unlocked after a certain stage. There have been new additions as costumes will now grant perks based on what is worn. Side mission collectibles and tomb challenges are almost the same.
Combat feels old. Nothing new, except a few additions such as using mud to evade detection, climbing trees etc. You can also use herbs and mixtures to grant combat/hunting bonuses, like in the FAR CRY series.
