Value for money
27 November 2017
This is a no frills, no thrills laptop backpack that does exactly what it is supposed to do. Not one bit extra, not one bit less. It is meant to carry your laptop and that it does with ample cushioning at the bottom of the laptop compartment and also some good padding at the back for...well, your back. It has 2 compartments/zips, one is a main compartment and the other is a smaller one in front where the faux leather part is. The main compartment is spacious and has a couple of pouches for your bare essentials like a mouse and earphones. Apart from that it has 3 slots for carrying pens. Right, pens. In 2017. Pens.
Coming to the secondary compartment, it really amuses me that they couldn't stretch it to the top. Once you open the zip, you get space only in the faux leather section and the part above the zip is stiched. It doesn't extend till the top. Really couldn't understand the economics behind this as I don't think it would've cost them more money to do it. Now, coming to actual faux leather you see at the bottom. It looks and feels exactly like faux leather. I don't think they were even trying to fool anybody, which I'd say is a good thing. I mean come on, the bag costs 1000 bucks. If you're looking for actual leather in the lower half of your backpack, try Fossil.
At the end of the day when all is said and done, the backpack is pretty neat. It has good ergonomics and design. The colour contrast between the outer grey and the inner lining looks pretty dope and if you can understand that this is a budget backpack, you won't crib about the faux leather as well. One does wish that they had added an extra compartment just to be able to throw all the waste in their. But who knows, maybe having a backpack with less compartments might make you organised.
All in all, a pretty good backpack. Gives you bang for your buck.
