Gripping but not with a convincing end
12 November 2018
The book though is gripping, is not very convincing in the end.
1. If the currencies were rendered invalid after the demonetization, how was Vicky to benefit from the 1000 crores he had siphoned off to St Kitty as said in the last chapter.
2. If the Government was indeed concerned about the interest of the nation(as was being projected in the book), they would have never given the contract Le Da Spire for printing the new currencies, because Le Da Spire had in the past supplied same papers and machines to Pakistan, which resulted in fake currency in the first place.
Lastly, in short, the storyline says the demonetization was done just to render the money in the hands of terrorist invalid. The character of Pallavi, Choksi, Vicky etc had nothing to do with it. Two very different stories in one book, with the Governor sandwiched in between them.
