My sister read whole book ,and now I can see the difference in her living style . She is feeling uplifted and motivated . Am being a book lover how I can miss to read this beautiful work of Garima Gupta . First of all I can surely say that she has a great knowledge in this field and about our body . But apart from this knowledge she is a very good Writer . Which she has proven by giving is this wonderful book . This book not only talk about our body . But also about our mind . This book not only focus on diet and exercise , but also about mind Power in the process of weightloss . I would like to congratulate writer for this great job and will suggest readers to buy this book and to improve their health . Thanks for reading my opinion .
The Body Nirvana by Garima Gupta and HarperCollins India stands apart from other similar books because of its scientific and logical approaches. Author's father and brother, both being doctors yet not able to handle complex cases needing psychological counseling rather than just medicines. And that professional counseling is nowhere a part of the curriculums of medical courses. When I was placing the order , I thought it as any other weight loss book available . But I was completely wrong . This book actually helps you to understand what your body actually wants and how to connect with your own body instead of cursing it . It tells you how weight loss can be a fun process and how you can enjoy your favourite food without any guilt .
Garima has done a good job of driving home the point that to get your weight to your desired state you have to shift your focus from dieting and exercise routines that may not work to your states of mind, emotional well being. She talks about the advantages of techniques like affirmations, emotional freedom technique and mindfulness to reach the state of emotional harmony.
This is a fresh approach to weight loss and i recommend this book for new insights.
I love the style and tone of the book..I felt that the author was speaking directly to me and I was getting a personal counseling session..Would love to recommend the book to anyone who wants to lose weight and hold it for the long term rather than someone doing it for a photoshoot or wedding etc...Weight loss is about the mind, health and discipline..The author conveys this in a day to day language that we can get easily
I took just two days to finish this book, that engaging. Once started , It felt like conversing with the author than just reading. Facts are very well presented with a meaningful spiritual touch. What the author has summarized in the end of the book ,under the heading "what it all comes down to" are pure pearls of wisdom. Thanks for offering an insightful read

Language is easy for non-medicos to understand. As a doctor I also realise that many problems people come with are psychological. I think the points mentioned in book can really help people be healthier. And not worry about body shape. Instead they can focus on health. Highly recommended
A real eye opener. Among the numerous weight loss, health and diet oriented books i have read,this book stands apart. A holistic lifestyle book. Now I'm LISTENING TO MY BODY as per the author and it really calmed me to a certain extent.
