The book has multiple moments of great poignancy- moments at which one feels that Sharma's words have the strength to reveal the terrible sadness that underlies most, if not all, human lives. These are moments that testify to the ebb and flow of human emotions and to those cruel turns of life when tragedy strikes with all of its unexpected and brute force. Though not as consistent and brilliant as 'Family Life', (the stories in) this book will stay with the reader for a long, long time.
Like all of Akhil Sharma's books, this story collection reflects his soul. It shows his clear thinking and genuine expression. I loved this book and will read all his books that I have yet not come across.
