Amazon Business - Frequently Asked Questions


  1. Why should I create an account on Amazon Business?

    As a business customer, you get access to more than 100 million products with 'business offers' on such products. A 'business offer' means you will get a GST invoice, allowing you to take tax credit. Further, you will also get business price and quantity discounts on many of these products. You will be able to enjoy the convenience of placing orders and getting those delivered to your doorstep in a timely fashion.

  2. How do I become a business customer?

    To become a business customer, please go to www.amazon.in/business and register for a new business account. You can also convert your existing personal account on Amazon.in to a business account. After successful verification of your business credentials, you will be able to login in as a business customer and start buying.

  3. Once I have registered my business account, can I immediately start purchasing for business eligible products?

    No, you cannot immediately purchase business eligible products. Once you have registered with us, we will review your application and verify your business account. This process may take a maximum of 3 business days. On successful account verification, you will then be able to view the business selection and place order for them.

  4. Is there any minimum order quantity or value on purchases made on Amazon Business?

    No, as of now, there is no minimum order quantity or value restriction currently on Amazon Business.

  5. What business specific details will be listed on the GST invoice?

    If you have placed a business order, the invoice will additionally have the business name, GST (if applicable) and/ or the PO number (if provided during ordering).

  6. How can I pay for my purchases on Amazon Business?

    You can pay through credit/debit card, cash on delivery (COD) and netbanking. You can also use Amazon.in gift cards.

  7. Can I get credit?

    We have tied up ICICI Bank to provide credit solution for business purchases to registered business customers on Amazon Business. Using the ICICI credit solution, you can avail a free credit period up to a maximum of 45 days. You can enquire about the solution by sending an SMS "BCINFO AMAZON" to 5676766 and ICICI Bank will get back to you within two (2) business days.

  8. During the ordering process, I have encountered an additional page to enter PO number. What is this?

    PO number page is an optional field and you can continue with the checkout process by skipping this page. This page is added to help you keep a track of the orders placed by your organization/business.

  9. What are the available delivery speeds and delivery charges?

    The delivery speeds available are between 2-4 business days or 4-7 business days or 5-14 business days. The delivery charges vary from seller-to-seller and are displayed on the product detail page and checkout pages. Sellers also usually display their delivery charges on their profile page.

  10. I have converted my existing personal account on Amazon.in to a business account, now will the order delivery be free since I have subscribed to Amazon Prime?

    Yes if the seller offering the Business Eligible product has a Prime badge then the shipping will be free for your business order as well.

  11. What is your Return Policy?

    You will have 3 days from receipt of the goods to report damaged/defective/wrongly shipped products. You will be able to schedule a return from the Online Returns Center if accessed within the return window period (3 days). If your return is pending authorization and you do not receive a response from the seller for your return request within 3 days, you may submit an A-to-Z Guarantee claim. Please note that some products cannot be returned and are marked on the product detail page. View the list of non-returnable items.

  12. Can I de-register my business account?

    Yes, you can revert your business account to personal account. Please contact us to help you through the process.

  13. How do I change/update the information in my business account?

    You will need to contact us to have your details updated/modified.

  14. Can a Mobile Only Account, be converted to a business account?

    Yes, Mobile Only Account can be converted to business account. However you will be required to add an email address in order to complete the registration. Once the account is verified, you can either use your phone number or email address to login.
