About Pay on Delivery

Pay on Delivery is a payment method available on Amazon.in. It lets you place orders without the need of an advance payment.

Pay on Delivery is available as a payment method for all items Fulfilled by Amazon and some seller fulfilled items. Eligible items will be indicated by the message "Eligible for Pay on Delivery" on the product details page. There are no extra charges for Pay on Delivery. We only collect the amount printed on the invoice. For more information about items Fulfilled by Amazon, go to Fulfilled by Amazon.

Pay on Delivery cannot be used in conjunction with the gift card balance as a payment mode. If you deselect gift card balance as a payment mode, Pay On Delivery may become available as a payment mode, provided the item and pin code are eligible.

Note:

• Prime customers will be ineligible for No-rush shipping cashback if they choose to pay for the order using 'Pay on Delivery'. For more information, go to About No-Rush Shipping Program
• Pay on Delivery is not yet available for all pin codes. This is due to limitations of courier services we use. Click here to see the list of states where Pay on Delivery facility is not available. Pay on Delivery will not be available if your order value exceeds Rs. 30,000.
• Pay on Delivery Option will be available only for some items under Lightning Deals
• Pay on Delivery is currently not available for Exchange Offer orders.
• Prime 1-Year membership cannot be purchased using pay on delivery as a payment method.
• Pay on Delivery will not be available for orders which include items sold by Global Store.
• For precious jewelry, all orders placed using pay on delivery as payment method will be verified through a call before shipment
• If you're using Pay on Delivery as a payment method on your first order, you will be prompted to enter a One-Time password which will be sent to your registered mobile number.

What are the available shipping speeds for seller fulfilled items?

Seller fulfilled items are dispatched directly by sellers. These items are indicated by the message "Sold and fulfilled by (seller name)". The delivery speeds available are between guaranteed 1-2 Business days, and standard shipping speeds of 2-4 Business Days, 4-7 Business Days or 5-14 Business Days.

The seller may take additional time to pack and dispatch the item. This time is added to the applicable delivery speed. Delivery charges vary by seller and are displayed on the product and checkout pages. Sellers also usually display their delivery charges on their profile page. You can visit the page by clicking on the seller's name on the product detail page.
