Return a Gift

Guidance on returning item(s) received as gift

To initiate a return, go to

The Returns Support Centre allows gift recipients to return items marked as a gift at the time of purchase. Alternatively, gift recipients can return their items using 'Gift receipts' shared by the gift giver. For guidance on returning a gift item using a gift receipt, please see Gift Receipts.

If you do not have a gift receipt, follow the steps below to return the item:

  1. Go to the Gift Returns
  2. If prompted, log in to your Amazon account. If you don't have an account you'll need to create an account
  3. Enter the Order Number of the item(s) to be returned

    Note: Order Number or Order ID e.g. 123-1234567-1234567 is a 17 digit code found on the packing slip that came with the item(s).

  4. Select the item(s), choose a return reason and click Continue
  5. Select how you'll mail the return package

Once done, a Return Confirmation with instructions to pack and mail the item will be displayed. A refund will be initiated when the return package is received and processed at our fulfilment centre. It typically takes 5-10 business days for the return item(s) to reach our fulfilment centre.

Note:

  • Gift items can only be returned for a refund and not for an exchange or a replacement.
  • If you are returning an electronic device storing any personal information, ensure that you have removed it from the device prior to returning. Amazon shall not responsible for any misuse or usage of such information.
  • If you’re a gift recipient and are unable to return a gift through our Returns Support Centre, please contact us so we can assist you with the return.
