X-Ray shows you the "bones" of a book, defines key terms and phrases and pulls in biographical information about key characters.
X-Ray is available on select books, and relies on a network or wireless connection to download content which is then accessible offline. The X-Ray feature is available for English titles only at this time.
While reading on the Kindle for iPad app, tap the X-Ray
icon in the top right of your screen.
While reading on Kindle for iPhone or iPod touch, select the book icon at the bottom of the screen, then select X-Ray from the menu.
You'll see a list of terms, and characters on the page, their definitions, and other places the term or character is found in the book. You can choose to see all of the names and terms by page, chapter, or those found throughout the whole book. Scroll through the X-Ray menu to see terms On Current Page and In The Book.
Tap a name or term to bring up a full definition, and to see and navigate to other locations where the name or term appears. Tap the upper left corner of the X-Ray page, and then select By Relevance, Alphabetical, or In Order of Appearance to filter your X-Ray results
